Job Title : AML Consultant (Contractor)
Department : Legal & Compliance
Classifica on : Non-Exempt
Reports to : AML Manager
Summary / Objec ve :
The AML Analyst is responsible for reviewing customer ac vi es and iden fying
unusual or suspicious transac ons and ensuring the bank's compliance with Bank
Secrecy Act / AML regula ons.
Essen al Func ons :
Include the following. Other du es may be assigned.
1. Support the AML process by engaging in alert monitoring and customer due
diligence reviews
2. Analyze transac on ac vity alerts, such as cash deposits, wires, loans, RDC, ACH
and check ac vity.
3. Make determina ons to escalate ma ers for further inves ga on
4. Conduct research u lizing internal and external database and document
inves ga ve findings
5. Conduct reviews required by the Annual Compliance Plan
6. A end required BSA / AML related training
7. Assist other BSA staff in related job performances
8. Par cipate in ad-hoc AML projects and support other BSA func ons on an as
needed basis.
Competencies : In order to perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following

1. Apply core AML skills to financial products and processes.
2. Communicate issues to AML Manager and BSA Officer in an effec ve manner.
3. Iden fy suspicious or unusual ac vity and escalate ma ers for heightened review.

Required Educa on and Experience :
1. Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Business,
Finance, Law or relevant field.
2. Two to three years of related experience and / or training.
Addi onal Qualifica ons :
CAMS Cer fica on preferred.
Language / Communica on Skills :
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional
journals, technical procedures, or governmental regula ons. Ability to write reports,
business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effec vely present
informa on and respond to ques ons from groups of managers.
