About The Position

Title : Cath Lab Technologist

Location : Rochester, NY (Unity Hospital – 1555 Long Pond Rd)

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Day Shift, 4x10-Hour (07 : 00 – 17 : 30)

Job Responsibilities :

Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures, including left and right heart catheterizations, PTCA, PCI, cardiac stent placements, and closure device procedures.

Assist physicians during procedures by preparing, operating, and maintaining sterile equipment.

Scrub, circulate, and monitor patient responses throughout procedures, maintaining sterile technique at all times.

Recognize and respond to life-threatening arrhythmias and emergent patient conditions.

Set up and operate specialized equipment such as IABP, rotablader atherectomy, and other interventional tools.

Ensure accurate documentation within the EPIC charting system.

Adhere to infection control and safety protocols within the Cath Lab environment.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care outcomes.

Job Requirements

Required Skills & Experience :

Active New York state license (required prior to start)

Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab experience

Certification in ACLS and BLS (required)

ARRT(R) or RCIS certification (required)

EPIC charting system experience (required)

Proficiency in diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, including equipment setup and sterile field maintenance

Ability to interpret cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately in emergent situations
