Med / Surg RN Job Details Location : Gadsden, Alabama (35903) – Alabama healthcare facility Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse Unit : Medical Surgical (Med / Surg) Start Date : November 17, 2025 End Date : February 16, 2026 Duration : 13-week nursing contract Shift : Nights (6 : 45 PM – 7 : 15 AM) Hours per Week : 36 hours Shift Duration : 12-hour night shifts Schedule : Every other weekend required Patient Ratio : 6 : 1 Estimated Weekly Salary : $1570–$1680 per week Registered Nurse Qualifications Active RN license (Compact or Alabama state license required) BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred) Minimum 1 year of recent Med / Surg nursing experience Experience with Cerner EMR preferred Must reside more than 50 miles from the healthcare facility Med / Surg RN Responsibilities Provide high-quality patient care to Med / Surg patients in a fast-paced clinical setting Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to nursing interventions Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed by physicians Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge instructions, and health management Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Cerner EMR Float to other hospital units as needed to support overall patient care Join our healthcare team in Gadsden, Alabama and take the next step in your travel nursing career.
