Responsible to Administrator.
DEFINITION OF POSITION
The Financial Coordinator is responsible for maintaining an assigned group of accounts from submission of claims through follow-up and appeals; Communicate as necessary with insurance companies and patients; Works to ensure departmental goals are met; Maintains compliance with policies and procedures; Fosters effective public relations with patients and the public.
QUALIFICATIONS
Professional
High School graduate or equivalent required.
Computer and keyboard skills required; type 30 wpm
Healthcare reimbursement position that would indicate knowledge of technical insurance terms is desirable.
Three years previous work experience in registration; admissions, insurance billing or healthcare field is desirable.
