Adjunct Assistant Professor, Psychology

Position Summary :

The Psychology Department at Johnson County Community College (JCCC) is looking for Adjunct Faculty who can teach psychology courses in person and / or online formats following departmental guidelines for the courses. Preference will be given to successful candidates who can teach in person during the day, 8 : 00 AM to 2 : 00 PM. Courses are taught on an "as needed" basis. Courses to be taught include Introduction to Psychology, Human Development, Psychological Statistics, and / or Research Methods in Psychology. Adjunct Faculty need to be a resident Kansas or Missouri and need to be able to attend occasional meetings on campus in Overland Park, Kansas. Review of applicants will begin immediately.

Required Qualifications :

• Master's Degree in Psychology or a Psychology related field, e.g., Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology.
• At least one year of experience teaching a psychology course at the college level.
• Understanding and use of a Learning Management System, e.g., Canvas.
