About The Position

Job Title : Surgical Technologist

Hours per Shift : 40 (7a-5p) with call

Experience : Minimum of 2 years for General OR, 5 years for CVOR

License : Current BLS

Certifications : CST preferred, graduation from an accredited program

Must-Have : Ability to discuss skills and technology during interview

Description :

Surgical Technologist position available.

The facility has 637 licensed beds.

It holds a Level 1 Trauma Designation.

It serves as a teaching hospital.

The center is recognized as a Chest Pain Center and Stroke Center.

This unit includes 20 OR rooms and 2 Cysto rooms.

Common patient types and diagnoses include general surgery (GYN, general, plastics, ENT, robotics, colorectal), orthopedic surgeries (hip, knee, shoulder replacement, sports medicine repairs, orthopedic trauma), orthopedic spine surgery, neurosurgery (neuro spine and brain tumor removal), and cardiovascular procedures (open heart surgery, valve replacement, and vascular surgery).

Required skills will be discussed with the manager during the interview process.

The unit culture focuses on safety for all members of the team.

There is a weekend rotation and a call rotation as discussed in the interview.

Holiday call is also required.

RTO requests must be approved by the leader.

Shift times may vary between 7A-7P or 7P-7A.

A 6-week scheduling cycle is implemented.

Scrub colors are surgical green, with a scrub exchange system in place.

Team members work collaboratively to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
