Grant Accountant Temporary To Hire
A mission driven public sector organization in Fort Worth is seeking a detail oriented Grant Accountant to support end to end grant accounting. This role is onsite and ideal for someone who enjoys working cross functionally to ensure compliance, accuracy, and timely reporting.
Location and Schedule
- Onsite in the Hulen area of Fort Worth, TX
- Monday through Friday with some flexibility
- Business casual environment
What You Will Do
Manage day to day grant accounting including GL entries, reconciliations, and month end close for assigned awardsTrack grant budgets, spending, and restricted funds to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local requirementsPrepare drawdowns, invoices, and reimbursement requests with complete supporting documentationMaintain audit ready records and assist with internal and external auditsPartner with program managers on budget vs actuals, forecasts, and allowable cost guidanceAssist with financial reports, schedules, and narratives required by funding agenciesSupport process improvements and help optimize use of financial systems and ExcelRequirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business AdministrationThree years of professional experience in accounting or financeStrong Excel skills including lookups, pivots, and reconciliationsFamiliarity with governmental or grant accounting and advanced financial systems preferredMaster's degree with at least one year of experience may be considered in lieu of the aboveExcellent attention to detail, communication, and collaboration skillsWhy This Opportunity
