Job Title : Mechanical engineer

Hiring a mechanical engineer looking to grow their career at one of the leading defense companies

Description

Key Responsibilities :

  • Design and develop mechanical components and systems for test environments supporting missile defense products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical designs with electrical, software, and systems engineering disciplines.

Create detailed documentation including CAD models, drawings, and specifications for test equipment.

  • Support all phases of the engineering lifecycle, including concept development, design verification, production, and sustainment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues in lab, field, and production environments.
  • Ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety protocols, and quality requirements.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Present technical findings and project updates to stakeholders and leadership.

    • What We're Looking For :

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Proven experience in mechanical design and integration, preferably in aerospace or defense.
  • Proficiency in CAD tools (e.g., Creo, SolidWorks) and engineering documentation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.

    Qualifications We Value : Design experience with mechanical and electronic packaging Experience with Configuration Management processes, application, and tools (e.g., Windchill / cPDM) Experience with cable design, specifically CREO Schematic

    Hours :       8 : 00am to 5 : 00pm

    Additional Job Details :  Responsibilities to Anticipate : Research, plan, design and develop mechanical test systems in areas including, but not limited to, vibration, thermal, hydraulic, radio frequency, and electro-optical for production testing environments Integrate and validate test systems against stringent accuracy and reliability requirements Evaluate production installations and recommend design modifications to eliminate malfunctions

    Must Have : Active Security Clearance

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $65.00 / hr.
