Job description

Job Title : Housekeeper / Family Assistant & A House Cleaner

Position Details : Part-Time

Location : Scarsdale, NY

Days : Mon - Fri

Hours : 2 : 00 PM - 8 : 00 PM ( Hours would change based on needs, but flexible on creating the schedule. )

Compensation : $35 per Hour

Start Date : ASAP

Main Work Duties : The Housekeeper :

  • Manage daily operations of the residence and ensure smooth functioning.
  • Managing dry cleaning.
  • Maintain household inventory and supplies; track and reorder as needed.
  • Supervise the cleaning person and ensure the home is always guest-ready.
  • Provide safe and reliable transportation for teenagers (school drop-off / pick-up, activities, appointments).
  • Help with packing and unpacking for travel.
  • Run errands (dry cleaning, pharmacy, specialty stores).

The House Cleaner : (1-2 times weekly) :

  • Laundry.
  • Dust all surfaces, including furniture, shelves, and décor.
  • Vacuum and mop all floors and rugs.
  • Clean bathrooms (toilets, sinks, showers, tubs, mirrors).
  • Wipe down kitchen counters, appliances, and cabinet fronts.
  • Clean inside the microwave and wipe the stovetop.
  • Empty trash bins throughout the home.
  • Change bed linens and make beds (if requested).
  • Wipe doors, light switches, and high-touch areas.
  • Tidy and organize common areas.
  • Clean glass surfaces and mirrors.
  • Spot-clean walls or baseboards as needed.

    • Required Qualities :

  • Discreet and trustworthy.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing needs.
  • High energy, enjoys being around teenagers.
  • Speaking Spanish is a bonus, not required.
  • Enjoys cooking and meal prep.
  • Professional and polished in appearance and communication.
  • Proactive and anticipates needs.
  • Calm under pressure and solution-oriented.
  • Tech-savvy and comfortable with scheduling / management tools.
  • Child-friendly yet respectful of teenagers’ independence.
  • Resourceful and efficient with shopping, errands, and logistics.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for working with vendors, staff, and family members.

    • Is Cooking Required : Yes - prep, prepare healthy meals for the family.

    The Perfect Candidate :   Spanish-speaking a plus.
