Position Type : Full- Time

Education Level : Masters in behavior analysis along with Behavior Analyst Certification Board approval. BCBA certification and / or licensed professional in BCBA.

SUMMARY : Applies organizational and leadership skills to the daily activities of therapists while continuing to effectively manage an individual caseload and represent FCC services to the community.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Maintains a reduced caseload and current requirements for a treating therapist as per discipline specific job description.

Exhibits knowledge of developments / trends in developmental disabilities and aging.

  • Exhibits proper cooperation, enthusiasm, and interest in all areas necessary for success of FCC and associated services provided.
  • Assures compliance with State / Federal law, and CARF accreditation.
  • Responsible for interviewing / hiring / training RBT's; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding / disciplining employees; addressing complaints / resolving problems.
  • Prepares timely reports / records for quality management review with CARF and Executive Management meetings.
  • Assists in community involvement for Public Relations.
  • Administers, conducts, evaluates, and supervises the implementation of behavioral assessment measures (e.g., VB-MAPP, ABLLS) and functional assessment measures.
  • Develops individualized goals and objectives for home-, community-, and center-based programs and designs behavior support plans based on functional assessment data.
  • Ensures appropriate behavioral data systems are implemented such that quantifiable behavioral data is collected at regular intervals to allow for the continual evaluation of behavior plans and the achievement of individual goals and objectives.
  • Teaches program staff, lead therapists and behavioral technicians on the proper implementation of educational and clinical behavior programs and plans, data collection systems and all necessary monitoring and reporting systems.
  • Conducts regular parent / caregiver and teacher training and consultation.
  • Develop materials, training and provide resources for and provide professional learning to administrators, educators, para-educators, and parents / guardians in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), and and / or other evidence-based methodologies related to addressing the needs of students with behavior difficulties.
  • Train behavior technicians on ABA program and individualized plans of care.
  • Conducts and oversees the initial RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) training.
  • Directly observe treatments administered by behavior technicians.
  • Facilitate natural environment interventions when appropriate.

  • Review technician's documentation and data collection and provide feedback as needed.
  • Communicate through checking voicemail and email regularly.
  • Is responsible for ongoing individual program oversight and conducting weekly supervision meetings with Program Coordinators and Behavior Technicians.
  • Completes all necessary documentation in a timely and satisfactory manner according to written procedures and regulatory / payer guidelines.
  • Develops written reports documenting behavioral recommendations for parents, caregivers, and agency personnel in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Responds to referrals for service in a timely and appropriate manner.

  • Participates in professional meetings or conferences.
  • Adheres to the mission, vision, and values of FCC.
  • Acts as communication liaison between ABA Director and local ABA team.
  • Assists with arranging coverage for therapist's call-ins / vacations and allocating therapist to priority location or caseload.
  • Reviews weekly / monthly utilization numbers and assists with any staffing recommendations / adjustments.
  • Assists with new hire interview process and ABA specific NET as needed.
  • Provides input for performance evaluations.
  • Provides input regarding needed equipment and materials.
  • This is a safety sensitive position.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all information received regarding Friendship Community Care, Inc., and the clients. Conditions of confidentiality shall be in compliance with Friendship Community Care Non-Disclosure Policy and HIPAA Policies.

    QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS :

  • At least three years' experience serving individuals with ASDs with a full range of skills and abilities.
  • Experience with staff training and supervision

  • EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE :

  • Masters in behavior analysis along with Behavior Analyst Certification Board approval.
  • BCBA certification and / or licensed professional in BCBA
  • LANGUAGE SKILLS :

    Ability to read, write and interpret medical history, assessment reports and relevant data. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees within the organization.

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS :

    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

    REASONING ABILITY :

    Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

    QUALITY ASSURANCE & COMPLIANCE : To adhere to the following and comply with all Quality Assurance's & HIPAA procedures :

  • The Code of Conduct and Compliance Investigation Procedures as read and discussed in the new employee training must be followed at all times.
  • Consumers' progress notes be maintained and completed daily or as needed on the prescribed forms.
  • Consumers' records must be maintained weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly. All information must be filed in consumers' records as needed and updated as prescribed by funding sources.
