Position Summary : Join our dedicated team as a Medical Assistant, where you will play a crucial role in providing quality patient care in a fast-paced medical environment. You'll be an integral part of our team, assisting providers and ensuring smooth operations within the office.
Education / Certification : Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, along with one of the following qualifications :
- Completion of a Medical Assistant Program
- Certification / Registration as a Medical Assistant
- 5+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant in lieu of being a Registered MA or attendance of an MA Program
- 5+ years of experience as a Nurse Assistant or a Certified Nurse Assistant with at least 1-year experience
Experience : Previous experience in a medical facility is preferred.

Welcoming and preparing patients for examinations following office protocolsKeeping patient charts updated and documenting sample medications dispensedOverseeing vaccine programs in compliance with state guidelinesRestocking and maintaining exam rooms with necessary suppliesReporting any equipment malfunctions to managementCleaning, sterilizing equipment, and preparing surgical trays as neededAssisting practitioners during office surgical proceduresConducting EKG and Spirometry tests as orderedCommunicating lab results to patients and managing follow-up appointments as directedCoordinating prescription refills and patient instructions following office protocolsPreparing specimens for testing and instructing patients on specimen collectionTracking medication inventory and disposing of expired medications responsiblyObtaining pre-certifications for various medical procedures as requiredScheduling referrals and outside testing as directedMaintaining a clean and organized work environmentDocumenting compliance with CLIA regulationsParticipating in Patient-Centered Medical Home Care Team collaborationsPotentially floating to other offices and performing additional tasks as required by managementUpholding confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA requirements
