Your attention to detail and commitment to safety will shine as you take charge of :
- Place orders on a timely basis for purchases of materials and supplies
- Generate POs in SAP by pulling requisitions and identifying the most cost-effective suppliers
- Process incoming deliveries by accurately receiving materials and confirming their receipt in SAP
- Adjust existing POs to reflect changes in pricing or taxes
- Monitor site purchases and payables to ensure compliance
- Collaborate with Corporate Purchasing to ensure the utilization of national suppliers at the lowest possible cost as new items and agreements are finalized
- Establish and maintain vendor files and inventory control records
- Arrange and expedite shipping for non-manufactured items, including material returns and transfers to other locations
- Manage price records and resolve any discrepancies
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management

College degree requiredGraduate degree preferredTwo years' purchasing experience in a manufacturing environmentSAP or ERP knowledge preferredProficient in Microsoft Office, especially spreadsheets and Excel formulasPlus - experience in the corrugated box industryStrong project management, analytical, attention to detail, and self-motivationExcellent listening skills for directional procurement support.Manufacturing procurement and supplier negotiation experience preferredAbility to multitask in a fast-paced environmentComfortable with product specifications and figuresStrong communication skills for maintaining relationships, even in stressful situations
