Description : Unit Information :

Number of Beds : 20 beds

Type of Staff :

Day Shift – 1 charge nurse, 8-10 registered nurses, 1-3 licensed nursing assistants, and sitter PRN.

Night Shift – 1 charge nurse, 8-10 registered nurses, 1-3 licensed nursing assistants, and sitter PRN.

Patient Ratios : Variable based on acuity (ECMO 2 : 1, post open heart surgery 1 : 1, critical ICU / devices patient 1 : 1, typical ICU assignment 1 : 2, stepdown assigned 1 : 3-4).

Type of Equipment : IV pumps, telemetry monitors, hoyer / stand lifts, Impella, IABP, CRRT, bladder scanner, Bair hugger, rapid transfuser, Blanketrol, chest tubes, vein finder, ventilator, high flow nasal cannula, BiPAP / CPAP.

EMR : Sunrise

Patient Population : Mixed medical and surgical ICU.
