Job Description
Responsible for designing, testing, and implementing internal network solutions. Maintaining and providing Tier 3 support for the network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, network appliances, and wireless APs.
Responsibilities
Provide leadership to the network services staff, ensuring the IT needs of faculty, staff, and students are met.Complete and deliver regular audits and assessments, providing reports as required by regulatory agencies and management.Design, test, and implement internal network solutions.Partner with project managers on network solution analysis, business requirements, and risk assessments.Provide Tier 3 support to all network-related service desk incidents.Sustain technical expertise in all areas of LAN / WAN / WLAN capacity planning, network architecture design, unified communications, and engineering for a secure IT network.Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, related field, or equivalent experience.7-10 years related experience of network topologies, routers, switches, firewalls, packet analysis, and other network-based hardware and software.Advanced knowledge of TCP / IP, IP routing, LAN and WAN protocols, campus and data center switching, and load balancing.Excellent communication skills and problem-solving skills.Strong network documentation creation and management.Knowledge of established security best practices.Preferred Qualifications
CCNP, CCDP, and / or JNCIP certification.Experience implementing and supporting a network infrastructure in a higher education environment.J-18808-Ljbffr
