Sumo Medical Staffing is recruiting for an experienced Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospitalist / Physician to work locum shifts in Harrisonburg Virginia (VA). Starting as soon as possible, the role offers ongoing work with a competitive market rate and benefits.

The Obstetrics and Gynecology role :

• 24 Hour Shifts : 24hr Time
• Root cause for opening req : gap coverage
• Types of Cases : Obstetrics and Hospitalist
• Job Setting : Inpatient
• NICU Level : II - 32 weeks gestation and above. Baby-Friendly Hospital
• Total Hospital Deliveries (monthly avg.) : 158
• Estimated Deliveries for Hospitalists (monthly) : 125
• Estimated Patient Encounters for Hospitalists (not including deliveries) (monthly) : 325
• MFM onsite? No. UVA MFM supports program
• Residency Program & Type? N / A
• In-house Anesthesia? Yes
• Hospitalists to Provide GYN Coverage : Yes, emergent only
• Hospitalists Required to Perform Circumcisions : on an as needed basis- pediatricians perform them
• Hospitalists Needed for First Assist : Yes, as needed or when available
• 2.0 program with MD and CNM 24 / 7
• First Assist Available to the Hospitalists : yes
• Hospitalists to Backup Midwives : Yes
• Hospitalists to Backup Family Practice : No
• Backup Available to the Hospitalists : Yes
