Role :
Hosts are crucial members of the team as the first impression and point of contact with every
guest upon arrival. The Host must portray gracious hospitality and is a partner to the Maître D’
in plotting, planning, and updating the dining room to smoothly and efficiently coordinate
seatings throughout each service.
Responsibilities :
- Consistently supports a culture of Humble, Honest, Heartfelt hospitality.
- Maintain professional appearance standards as set by the company.
- Anticipates and accommodates needs of the guest.
- Maintains the general cleanliness and orderliness of the entrance area.
- Actively takes and processes reservations for guests.
- Responsible for checking guests’ coats and other belongings (when applicable).
- Assists with setting up front desk area, performs side-work and other opening / closing
procedures as directed by management.
Ensures that all appropriate menus are clean and ready for service.Responsible for making sure all menu books are organized and current.Collects menus throughout the restaurant during and after service.Attends and participates in daily pre-service meetings.Participates in any training sessions or departmental meetings.Portrays a positive and professional attitude.Works as part of a team and provides help and support to all fellow team members.Partners with Maître D’ to quote accurate wait times.Properly answer guest inquiries with regards to restaurant hours of operation and basicoperational information, menus, and reservations.
Act as a liaison between the guest, management, service staff and kitchen and communicatesaccordingly.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.Work with efficiency and a sense of urgency while remaining composed.Demonstrates a passion for guest experience and an eagerness to learn and grow.Qualifications :
2+ years; experience in a customer service role in a high-volume establishment.English fluency - written and verbal; additional languages a plus.Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time.Must have positive energy while working.Equal Opportunity Employer
