Account Specialist

Description We are looking for a skilled Account Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Boulder, Colorado. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in accounting functions and possess a strong background in managing financial processes such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and billing. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who thrives in a collaborative environment and can contribute to maintaining accurate financial records.

Responsibilities :

• Process accounts payable transactions, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
• Manage accounts receivable functions, including invoice generation and payment collection.
• Oversee billing operations and ensure compliance with established policies.
• Perform account reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.
• Assist in preparing financial reports and statements as needed.
• Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks to manage financial data efficiently.
• Support the team in resolving discrepancies and inquiries related to accounting processes.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth financial operations.
• Monitor and maintain accurate documentation of financial transactions.
• Provide input on improving accounting procedures and systems to enhance efficiency. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software.
• Familiarity with Shopify or similar e-commerce platforms.
• Strong understanding of general accounting principles and billing functions.
• Ability to perform account reconciliations with attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Effective communication skills for working with internal teams and external partners.
• Ability to adapt to a flexible work environment and meet deadlines.
