Job description3201 Kings Highway, BROOKLYN, NY 11234 Position Summary : We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). The ideal candidate will have solid experience in recovering post-operative and intubated patients, administering medicated drips, and managing critical transitions from the operating room to recovery. This role is essential to ensuring patients receive safe, high-quality care during the immediate postoperative period in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive post-anesthesia care for patients recovering from surgical or invasive procedures. Monitor and assess patients’ vital signs, level of consciousness, airway, and pain management needs. Manage intubated patients and provide airway support as required. Administer IV fluids, medications, and medicated drips per physician orders. Accurately document patient assessments and interventions using EPIC EMR. Collaborate closely with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and perioperative team members to ensure continuity of care. Educate patients and families on post-surgical expectations, pain control, and discharge instructions. Maintain compliance with infection control, patient safety, and hospital policies. Required Qualifications Active NYS Registered Nurse (RN) License – in good standing. BLS and ACLS certifications – required. Minimum of 2 years of RN experience, including postoperative management and medicated drip experience. Experience recovering intubated patients post-surgery – required. EPIC EMR experience – highly preferred. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Associate degree considered only if actively enrolled in a BSN program. Powered by JazzHR

- 40.00 Hours Per Day : 8.00 Days Per Week : 5.00 Shift Time : NIGHTS : 4Ppm - 12am / 7.5hrs / 5 Days per week Schedule Notes : Experience in recovering intubated patients' post-surgery.
