MOTOR EQUIPMENT REPAIRMAN

The Department of Public Works seeks applicants interested in the full-time position of Motor Equipment Repairman . Typical duties include repair and maintenance functions on a wide variety of municipal vehicles in a modern, clean and well-lit garage. Prior professional experience as a mechanic is required. Ideal candidates will have experience in light, medium and heavy truck repairs, preventative maintenance for both gas and diesel and yellow construction equipment. A CDL license is not required for this role.
Full uniform service provided free of charge plus a $150 annual boot allowance. ASE Certification Stipends : Class 1 - $100 / week; Class 2 - $75 / week; Class 3 - $50 / week. Specialized technical training offered on an ongoing basis. Employees in this classification are eligible for overtime. Shift work may be required.
Starting salary : $32.26 - $39.34 per hour, full-time employment opportunity, with an excellent benefits package.
