Job description

Job Summary :

  • As a Cook I at Pasta & Press, you will be an essential part of our kitchen team, assisting in the preparation and execution of our menu items.
  • You will work closely with senior kitchen staff to maintain high culinary standards while ensuring efficiency and consistency in every dish.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to Pasta & Press recipes and quality standards.
  • Assist in food prep, including chopping, portioning, and assembling ingredients.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation, following health and safety regulations.
  • Monitor food stock levels and report shortages to the Kitchen Manager.
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
  • Uphold food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards at all times.
  • Assist with dish plating and presentation to meet restaurant standards.

    • Qualifications & Skills :

  • 1+ years of experience in a professional kitchen preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn and take direction from senior kitchen staff.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

    • Physical Requirements :

  • Ability to stand for long periods.
  • Comfortable working in a hot and high-energy environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
