Junior Accountant

We are looking for a Junior Accountant to provide support to the financial department by managing daily accounting task.

The ideal candidate will be well-versed in accounting principles and able to work comfortably with numbers and attentive to details.

Job Description:

• General Ledger, prepare journal entries, reconcile financial statements and accounts, and ensure data accuracy.
• Account Reconciliation.
• Reviews current status of customer accounts to identify and resolve billing processing problems in a timely manner.
• Obtains revenue by verifying transaction information; computing charges and refunds; preparing and mailing invoices; identifying delinquent accounts and insufficient payments.
• Pays invoices by verifying transaction information; scheduling and preparing disbursements; obtaining authorization of payment.
• Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
• Maintains accounting ledgers by posting account transactions.
• Verifies accounts by reconciling statements and transactions.
• Resolves account discrepancies by investigating documentation; issuing stop payments, payments, or adjustments.
• Maintains financial security by following internal accounting controls.
• Secures financial information by completing data base backups.
• Maintains financial historical records by filing accounting documents.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance Excellent analytical and math skills Proficient in Microsoft Suite, especially in Excel Strong written and communication skills Skill in dealing with multiple projects and interruptions Strong organizational skills; attention to detail Ability to analyze financial reports Ability to prepare accounting reports Ability to work independently and meet deadlines as assigned Ability to maintain effective working relationships Full cycle accounting and the generally accepted accounting principles SAGE software or Syspro ERP background is a plus Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance: Company covers 80% for employees only.
