International Affairs Branch Role
You will work within the International Affairs Branch of the Meteorological Service Singapore (MSS), Business and Strategy Division, to advance Singapore's interests in meteorology and climate science through strategic international and regional engagements.
The job scope will include but not limited to the following :
- Supporting the strategic development, implementation and review of MSS's international and regional engagements masterplan
- Providing support for regional capacity development programmes in the meteorological and climate science domains
- Identifying possible initiatives and topics to forge collaborative partnership and cooperation arrangements with strategic partners
- Supporting MSS's hosting of events, meetings and visits from strategic partners
- Supporting Management's involvement at regional and international meetings
The job might be for you if you possess the following :
Sound understanding of foreign diplomacy, processes and dynamics in bilateral and multilateral settings, with preferably 2 years of experience in international relationsDetail oriented, with strong planning and organisational skillsGood team player that takes the initiative with tasksSelf-motivated and committed to a high standard of service deliveryExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsMature, independent and resourcefulWork well under pressure and able to adhere to tight deadlinesAs part of the shortlisting process for this role, you may be required to complete a medical declaration and / or undergo further assessment.
