As a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality , compassionate care to our clients. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with autism. You will implement individualized treatment plans supervised by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and engage with families to support their understanding and involvement in the therapy process. At Opal, we emphasize professional development, providing you with the tools and training necessary to excel in your role while contributing to our mission of promoting effective and ethical behavior analysis.
Responsibilities
- Implement treatment plans under the direction of a BCBA
- Collect data on client behaviors and progress
- Engage clients in therapeutic activities to promote learning and development
- Communicate with families about their child's progress and strategies
- Assist in developing educational materials and resources
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions
- Adhere to ethical guidelines and standards of behavior analysis
Requirements
Active RBT certification - OR - certificate of completion of a 40-hour RBT training course recognized and accepted by the BACB - OR - work experience as a BT in the field of ABAHigh school diploma or GED1+ year experience working with children or individuals with special needsAbility to obtain CPR certification before your employment start dateAbility to pass a criminal background checkExperience working with children with autism or developmental disabilitiesStrong interpersonal and communication skillsDemonstrated commitment to ethical standards in behavior analysisAbility to work collaboratively as part of a treatment teamDesire for ongoing professional development and trainingFlexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environmentPhysical ability to lift / push / pull up to 50 lbs and sit / stand / squat throughout the dayComfortable working fully on-site in a center-based settingBenefits
