About The Position

Must-Have :

• Neonatal Phlebotomy
• Experience in a Level 3 NICU or greater

Description :

The unit features 40 beds with patient ratios ranging from 1 : 1 to 1 : 4.

There is 24-hour unit secretary and physician coverage.

Types of equipment utilized include primarily jet-based high-frequency ventilation and NAVA ventilators.

The primary documentation system is CPN with secondary support from Meditech.

Scheduling requires three 12-hour shifts, working from 7 PM to 7 AM, with every other weekend required.

Floating policy includes the ability to float to women's health units as necessary.

Advanced skills required include mechanical ventilation, specifically with high-frequency ventilators (jet or oscillator) for a minimum of 3 years.

Experience in neonatal surgical recovery is preferred.

Common procedures performed on the unit include circumcision, PDA ligation, chest tube placement, retinopathy of prematurity assessments, and total body cooling.

Dress code is all navy.

The unit opened recently with 33 private rooms and two open bays, offering a modern and supportive environment for staff.
