Collections Specialist
We are looking for a skilled part-time collections specialist to join our team in Phoenix, Arizona. In this role, you will primarily focus on coordinating collection activities related to the service department, requiring attention to detail and effective communication. This is a long-term contract position that offers flexibility and the opportunity to contribute to improving internal processes.
Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with the service manager to address outstanding invoices and resolve any discrepancies.
- Research collection issues thoroughly to ensure accurate billing and follow-up.
- Maintain detailed records of collection activities using tools such as Excel and Sage software.
- Communicate effectively with clients to address questions or concerns regarding service costs.
- Monitor and track the status of collections, ensuring timely follow-ups.
- Assist in developing and implementing a structured collection process to improve efficiency.
- Prepare reports on collection status and progress for the corporate team.
- Handle a high volume of service-related collections with smaller dollar amounts.
- Work with the internal team to align collection efforts with organizational objectives.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures during all collection activities.
Requirements :
Proven experience in commercial and consumer collections, including B2B collections.Strong knowledge of collection processes and billing collection practices.Proficiency in using Sage software and Excel for tracking and reporting.Excellent research skills to investigate and resolve collection issues.Effective communication and negotiation skills for handling client interactions.Ability to manage a high volume of transactions with attention to detail.Familiarity with credit and collections systems.Capability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
