Northwest Specialty Hospital is seeking a detail-oriented, customer-service-focused Medical Records Coordinator I to join our Medical Records Team!
The Medical Records Coordinator I supports the clinic Medical Records function and is responsible for assuring that all clerical duties are accurately performed in completion of, but not limited to, the following areas : pull medical records for other departments and / or individuals as requested; electronically file medical records; prepare copies of medical record as requested; scans medical records, ensures that all requests for copies of medical records are authorized and approved for issuance; review the medical record for completeness; facilitate obtaining necessary signatures from physicians and practitioners to complete the medical record; file correspondence and other documents in medical records accurately; assist in mailing correspondence from the business office. This position will also work closely with other departments as needed, to ensure the patient's chart and information is complete to receive treatment. Projects a professional demeanor and appearance while maintaining the confidentiality of patients, coworkers, and the Northwest Specialty Hospital as appropriate. This position will require excellent customer service skills and communication skills. Works under stress and in situations that demand patience and tact while providing impeccable service.
