The General Accountant ensures the accuracy of financial records and supports core accounting functions across General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable. This position is critical to timely month-end close and requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to assist with customer inquiries related to billing and payments.
Key Areas of Responsibility General Ledger
Execute month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and intercompany transactions
Complete reconciliations for bank accounts and balance sheet items (e.g., prepaid expenses, fixed assets)
Perform credit card reconciliations, ensuring accurate coding and documentation
Accounts Payable
Manage full-cycle AP : invoice review, coding, and system entry
Process vendor payments (checks, ACH, wires) in compliance with terms and controls
Maintain vendor records and prepare annual 1099 reporting
Address vendor inquiries regarding invoices and payment status
Accounts Receivable
Apply customer payments accurately to outstanding invoices
Monitor AR aging and follow up on overdue accounts
Reconcile AR sub-ledger to the General Ledger monthly
Support internal teams by resolving billing and payment discrepancies
Qualifications
Required :
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
2+ years of experience in general accounting with exposure to GL, AP, and AR
Strong reconciliation skills, including complex bank and credit card accounts
Knowledge of GAAP principles
ERP system experience
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis)
Professional communication skills and customer-service mindset
Ability to work onsite as required and authorized to work in the US

Pay Details : $50,000.00 to $60,000.00 per year
