Responsibilities
The Therapeutic Behavioral Aide is dedicated to delivering direct care services, offering behavioral guidance, and providing training and support to individuals in Health Connect America programs. This position focuses on enhancing the functional, daily, and community living skills of individuals facing developmental disabilities, substance abuse issues, and emotional or behavioral challenges. Through personalized care and targeted interventions, the Therapeutic Behavioral Aide plays a crucial role in fostering independence and improving the quality of life for those they serve.
- Provides one-on-one direct behavioral intervention with children / youth or support and training with individuals, which includes, but is not limited to :
serving as a positive role model for the child / youth
Qualifications
Requirements differ by state due to varying regulations and standards.
Bachelor of Arts Degree in psychology, social work, child development or a closely related field and two years' experience providing services to children / youth in a mental health environment; or
High school diploma or GED required; however, Associate's degree is preferred.
