Job description

Role : SAP FICO Business Analyst (Configuration Specialist)

Job Location : Dallas, TX / Houston, TX

Duration : 6-12+ Months

Visa Type : - Only USC / GC / H1B

MUST HAVE EXCELLENT COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented SAP Business Analyst with a specialization in the Financial Accounting (FI) and Controlling (CO) modules. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert configuration, functional support, integration and process analysis

Key Responsibilities

Perform hands-on configuration of SAP FI / CO modules to meet business needs

  • Serve as the primary configuration expert for the SAP FI / CO modules, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA), Cost Center Accounting (CCA), Profit Center Accounting (PCA), and Internal Orders.
  • Analyze business requirements from finance and accounting stakeholders and translate them into detailed functional specifications for SAP configuration.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Materials Management (MM) and Sales and Distribution (SD), to ensure seamless integration points with the FICO module.
  • Develop and execute test scripts for unit, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate configured solutions.

Business Process Analysis and Support

  • Lead workshops and discovery sessions with business users to gather requirements and identify opportunities for process improvement and system optimization.
  • Provide advanced-level support and troubleshooting for day-to-day SAP FICO issues, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
  • Write clear and complete functional specifications for any required custom developments (e.g., reports, enhancements, interfaces) and collaborate with ABAP developers.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes and support internal and external audit requirements.

  • Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date documentation of SAP configurations, business processes, and system changes.
