Penn State Global is seeking a dynamic and creative Education Abroad Adviser and Outreach Coordinator (EAAOC) to join the Education Abroad Advising and Engagement team at Penn State's University Park campus. The role is central to promoting and supporting global learning opportunities for students at all Penn State campuses. In addition to advising students on study abroad options, the EAAOC leads large-scale outreach initiatives, event planning, and digital engagement strategies that connect students with global opportunities early in their Penn State experience.
The EAAOC manages a limited advising caseload while also driving communication and marketing efforts, coordinating Education Abroad's social media and digital presence, and supervising student assistants. Responsibilities
Position Details
This position is based at the University Park campus, with a hybrid work schedule possible. Due to the nature of the role, candidates should expect to work in person a minimum of three (3) days per week with a remote option available on the other days.
Required Experience
The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication, organizational, and event-planning skills, creativity in outreach and marketing, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and Canva is required.
The Education Abroad Adviser and Outreach Coordinator is responsible for maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the fields of education abroad, international education, and higher education marketing. Engaging in continuing education and professional development opportunities will empower the adviser to implement best practices and innovative approaches to ensure quality service to students and stakeholders.

Minimum Education, Work Experience & Required Certifications
Bachelor's Degree; 3+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted. Required Certifications : None

Background Checks / Clearances

Salary & Benefits
The salary range for this position, including all possible grades, is $46,400.00 - $67,300.00.
