Title: Kids Club CoordinatorReports to: Club Manager | Regional Youth DirectorExpected RESULTS (IN SUPPORT of OUR INTENTIONAL CULTURE): Purpose: Staff is Family and together, we help people take charge of their health!

  • I assist and supervise children in the Kids Club while providing exemplary customer service to the parents and other staff.

Awareness and Communication Tools
  • I use Safe Space in support of effective communication, and support the Team with consistent use of the tool.

Expected RESULTS (IN SUPPORT of OUR OPERATING SYSTEMS):Zone Management
  • I am responsible for Zone ownership duties including completing a weekly Zone Inspection.
  • I ensure that our facilities are Brand Clean, looking new or like new.
  • I am responsible for submitting work orders for items that need repair and communicate future needs to my direct reports.
Performance Management
  • I provide the Kids Club Team with real-time verbal and written performance feedback.
  • I coach using the tools and in support of Purpose and Values.
  • I am responsible for performing 6-month and 12-month Duo Reviews with each and every Team member for whom I am directly responsible.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
  • I consciously use Purpose, Values, and Tools to inspire others to consciously use Purpose, Values, and Tools to impact lives 100% of the time.
  • I am responsible for engaging with all children and Team Members in my designated area with a positive, proactive, and respectful attitude.
  • I have an explicit understanding of all specific duties and responsibilities for the Kids Club Team and of all procedures within my department and coach others in doing the same.
  • I am a Team resource for fun, high energy, and age appropriate child activities.
  • I am accountable for the overall member experience at my Kids Club location and support the Team in handling member issues.
  • I am competent in regards to all Youth Programing and seek clarity when needed. When it serves, I support families in finding the right programing fit.
  • I am aware of my clubs hiring needs and support with the hiring process. I interview applicants and arrange a working interview, when appropriate. I am responsible for the onboarding of all new hires on my team.
  • I provide training for all Kids Club staff with regard to daily operations, expectations, developmentally appropriate engagement with youth, and promotions of all youth happenings/ programs at my location.
  • I am responsible for executing and staffing each moths Parent’s Night Out Event.
  • I am responsible for working mixed shifts weekly to include an opening, evening, and weekend shift to support the Team and operations within my department.
  • I am responsible for organizing the Team to ensure all areas are appropriately staffed and use Purpose, Values, and tools to contact and/or relieve Team members to maintain appropriate ratios.
  • I am responsible for running/reviewing the daily Kids Club reports to closely monitor and track child check-in numbers and visit sales/usage.
  • I am responsible for organizing child waivers for my location and ensure that parent and child information including photos are updated. When applicable, I enter and flag allergy and/or medical condition information.
  • I establish and maintain desk and paperwork organization ensuring all supplies and forms are available for my location and replenish as needed.
  • I am responsible for ensuring all Kids Club team time clock entries are correct for my location – I update any needed corrections and follow up with Team members when necessary.
  • I perform Zone Management functions and am accountable for ensuring my Zone is Brand and “FUN” multiple times throughout my shift. I hold the Childcare Team accountable for following all zone procedures.
  • I maintain proper uniform standards and coach the Team in doing the same.
  • I create and manage the Kids Club attendant schedule for my location – I support with shifts where needed.
  • I am ultimately responsible for opening and closing the Kids Club when a Team member misses, is sick, or there is a lack of coverage.
  • I perform a weekly supplies count and am responsible for making new purchases in line with the department budget.
  • I understand the clearly defined fiscal and numeric goals for my department and am aware of the fiscal impact to the company of each decision.
  • I attend all mandatory meetings and Team Building Calls with my Regional Director and am responsible for disseminating appropriate learning and information to the team I lead.
  • I work in conjunction with Regional Youth Director to move our Team A+.
  • I work to develop strong relationships with members and Team members, and commit to creating an On-Brand, enjoyable and inviting atmosphere for children, members, and the Team.
  • I am adaptable and open to change. I am capable of motivating others to accept change so that we might improve our Brand as the Company identifies ways to improve policies and procedures.
PHYSICAL and MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • This position is compensated hourly, has a 15 hour/week minimum requirement. 30 hours/week will qualify the employee as eligible for Health / Dental / Vision / 401-k / PTO Benefits.
  • A Kids Club Coordinator may instruct classes or otherwise work in a different department at Genesis Health Clubs provided:
  • 100% of performance expectations are, and continue to be, met for the Kids Club Coordinator. The work performed in the department other than Kids Club takes place outside of regularly scheduled hours for the Kids Club Coordinator. Approval to work in a department other than Kids Club has been received from the Regional Youth Director as well as the appropriate Department Manager.
  • This position requires a person be physically fit and mentally alert. There may be a need for standing, walking, sitting, lifting, kneeling, reaching, handling, thinking, reasoning, and calculating - some of it constant.
  • This position has an inherent amount of physical and mental stress. All candidates must be prepared for and capable of adapting to such conditions.
  • The ability to efficiently run Excel, Word, Outlook, and other software packages used by the Company is a requirement for this position.
  • A positive attitude and professional behavior are expected and displayed consistently in all dealings with members and/or fellow Team members. This person is expected to be a role model on a daily basis as a living example of the Purpose and Values of the Company.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
  • The work is primarily indoors, but dependent on conditions, work out of doors may occasionally be required.
  • Genesis Health Clubs strives to maintain a safe, healthy and pleasant working environment, but the Team member is expected to notify his/her superior immediately to repair any potentially unhealthy defect, condition, or situation.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
  • 18+ years old with High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Maintained First Aid, BPT, and CPR certifications to include infant, child, and adult.
  • A strong understanding of child needs and development with a minimum of one year experience.
  • Healthy and physically fit.
  • Literate in English and basic math.
  • Highly motivated and enthusiastic with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A strong understanding of Customer Service.
  • Leadership expertise appropriate to the position.
  • Effective organizational skills.
  • Available to work a flexible schedule as the position demands and provide emergency shift coverage during regular Kids Club operating hours if needed.
  • Responsible for securing reliable transportation to and from work.
