This position is part of the AWS Specialist and Partner Organization (ASP). Specialists own the end-to-end go-to-market strategy for their respective technology domains, providing the business and technical expertise to help our customers succeed. Partner teams own the strategy, recruiting, development, and growth of our key technology and consulting partners. Together they provide our customers with the expertise and scale needed to build innovative solutions for their most complex challenges.

AWS is seeking a Partner Solution Architect with a Unified Communications and Collaboration (UC&C) background to enable new capabilities for customers to design and deploy UCaaS / CCaaS solutions on AWS. You are responsible for the technology, strategy, and senior-level relationships with strategic and / or fast-growing Independent Software Vendors (ISV).

The Partner Solutions Architect will create and drive the technical strategy with assigned ISV partners, taking the lead on go-to-market products built-on and / or integrated with AWS. Collaborating with partners, you will craft highly scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures that solve customer business problems and accelerate the adoption of AWS services. In collaboration with your team at AWS, you will drive revenue growth through customer adoption of partner solutions on AWS.

You will also have the opportunity to build your cloud brand, leaving your mark with whitepapers, webinars, event presence, and innovative new patents for what could potentially be a future AWS product or feature. You will also need to be adept at interacting, communicating, and partnering with other teams within AWS—such as services teams, marketing, and professional services—while representing your team to executive management.

Location : San Francisco, Seattle, Arlington, New York, or Austin.

Travel : Must be open to travel at least 30% including international.

Key job responsibilities

  • Work with partners as a strategic advisor to deeply understand their business and technical needs.
  • Develop solutions that make the best use of AWS services such as EC2, EKS, ECS, SageMaker, and communication platforms for IVR, automatic call distribution, and integration with other AWS services for data storage and analytics.
  • Collaborate with AWS field sales, training, and support teams to ensure partner success.
  • Exhibit thought leadership by evangelizing AWS Services and ISV solutions across blogs, whitepapers, reference architectures, and public speaking events such as AWS Summit and re : Invent.
  • Act as a technical liaison between partners and the service engineering teams, providing product improvement feedback to AWS developers and accelerating the adoption of new features in customer deployments.
  • Provide one-to-few and one-to-many training sessions to transfer knowledge to builders already using or considering AWS.
  • Capture and share best-practice knowledge among the AWS solutions architecture community.
  • Build deep relationships with senior technical stakeholders within partners to enable them to be cloud advocates.
  • Act as a technical liaison between partners, service engineering teams, and support.
  • Hands‑on experience developing proof-of-concepts for solutions involving AWS services.
  • Drive product integrations between partner products and AWS services.
  • Publish blog posts, public speaking, white papers, and reference architectures as a demonstration of thought leadership.

A day in the life

  • Meet partner product managers and engineering teams to discuss blockers or gather feedback on ongoing build activities.
  • Build and test a Proof of Concept (PoC) or create a code sample.
  • Write a blog post or white paper.
  • Consume technical news and learn about the latest developments in the market and software community.
  • Basic Qualifications

  • 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting experience in applications and infrastructures.
  • 3+ years of experience in specific technology domains such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, or data & analytics.
  • 4+ years of IT development or implementation / consulting experience in the software or Internet industries.
  • 2+ years of experience with Unified Communications and Collaboration, designing, developing, and implementing complex voice / video solutions. Recent, demonstrable hands‑on experience with AI / ML, GenAI workloads.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries.
  • Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud.
  • Experience working with AWS technologies from a DevOps perspective.
  • Deep hands‑on expertise in configuring and building CCaaS or UCaaS solutions including IVR contact flows, Lambda coding, Amazon Lex, ACD routing, telephony integration, and SIP trunking.
