Salary :

DesRoches & Company, CPAs, located in Virginia Beach, Virginia, provides a full range of services to many diversified businesses and individuals including tax, bookkeeping accounting, auditing, and other consulting services. Are you ready for a change and to build a career with our team? We are seeking an experienced bookkeeper / accounting specialist to join our busy accounting firm providing professional accounting support to our team members, company management, and our clients.

Specific duties may include, but are not limited to :

Client accounting services through preparation of financial statements.
Payroll preparation and various related payroll tax returns.
Preparation of monthly accounting through financial statements.
Ability to interact with clients and quickly resolve issues related to clients software.
Various other duties as required.

Qualifications :

Knowledge of accounting principles.

Excellent time management skills.

Positive attitude, strong client focus, team player.

Proficient in QuickBooks and QuickBooks on-line (Certification a plus).

Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Proficient in Microsoft Office.

CPA firm experience a plus.

Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new software and technology.

Education and Experience :

A minimum of 2 years current experience as a full-charge bookkeeper with in professional office environment preferably in the accounting industry.

Accounting Associates Degree or equivalent experience is required.
