Finance & Operations Analyst, LCARS

Job Description

The Finance & Operations Analyst plays a key role in driving financial visibility and accountability across the Legal, Compliance, Audit, Risk, and Sustainability (LCARS) functions that report into Verisk's Chief Legal Officer. This role will report to the Head of Operations for LCARS and will directly support all aspects of financial planning and analysis (FP&A), including budgeting, reforecasting, and spend optimization. A major focus for the Analyst will be vendor spend, particularly on outside counsel expenses.

The ideal candidate is a curious, detail-oriented problem solver who thrives on making sense of complex and disparate data. You will gather and reconcile information to produce a unified and accurate financial picture.

Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Analysis

• Partner with LCARS leaders to manage budgets, track spend, and reforecast quarterly expenses
• Support financial reviews, accrual reporting, and variance analyses
• Consolidate and reconcile data to create accurate and actionable financial reports
• Develop and maintain dashboards and summaries that communicate financial insights and trends to management and leadership
