Overview :

We are seeking a Civil Litigation Associate with strong litigation skills and a passion for advocacy on behalf of survivors of sexual abuse and assault. The ideal candidate will have experience in plaintiff-side litigation, excellent writing and analytical abilities, and the emotional intelligence necessary to work compassionately with trauma survivors.

Responsibilities :

• Manage all phases of civil litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trial preparation.
• Conduct client interviews and maintain sensitive client relationships with empathy and professionalism.
• Draft and respond to discovery requests, motions, and other court filings.
• Investigate claims and collaborate with experts, investigators, and co-counsel.
• Participate in mediations, settlement negotiations, and court appearances.
• Handle complex factual and legal issues involving institutional liability, negligent supervision, and related tort claims.
• Support senior attorneys in trial preparation and, when appropriate, take active roles in hearings and trials.
