Job description

SUMMARY :

The Contracts and Grant Specialist is to be a highly organized, creative problem-solving Specialist to coordinate and manage contracts and grants for Castle Family Health Centers Inc. This administrative role contributes to CFHC's mission and supports programs by working to ensure that complex grant and contract reporting, and compliance requirements are met.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Establish and maintain effective and collaborative working relationships with people from a variety of backgrounds, communities and organizations (i.e. CEO, Executive Assistant, County offices, CFHC patients and CFHC employees).
  • Experience in using technology for communication, information-gathering, program delivery and / or reporting. Advanced user of MS Office (Word, Excel, Access & PowerPoint), and internet-based collaboration tools.
  • Identifying and researching potential grant opportunities.
  • Managing the full award cycle for grants and contracts.
  • Maintaining records of current and future contracts.
  • Providing updates and coordinating with appropriate personnel for renewals or terminations of contracts / agreements.
  • Tracking and maintaining record of important dates for contracts and grants.
  • Reporting research to appropriate representatives and supervising personnel.

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • BA / BS or a combination of related education and work experience to equal four years in business administration, finance, or accounting. (Master's in Business Administration a plus)
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and a driving history suitable to drive on company business. A background check is required for this position including checking driving record.
  • Experience working in a nonprofit organization, and work with Federal and state awards (preferred)
  • Availability to travel and work occasional evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Must be Bilingual in Spanish and English.
  • Experience with community outreach and engagement strategies.
  • Demonstrated capacity for independent, proactive judgement and problem-solving while working in a collaborative environment as a team member.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Outstanding organizational skills, with strong attention to detail and a compliance orientation.
