Must-Have :

Candidates must not be full-time, part-time, or PRN with any health facility associated with the organization.

Description :

This position requires a positive attitude and strong communication skills.

The ability to engage in critical thinking and problem solving is essential.

The unit operates in a fast-paced environment.

Common patient demographics include adults and geriatrics with cardiac and nephrology issues.

RNs are responsible for titrating medications as needed.

The nurse to patient ratio is approximately 1 : 4-5.

Charge nurses are present on each shift, and they may take an assignment.

Support staff is available on the unit, typically with a ratio of 1 : 10 or 2 : 20.

Shifts start at 0630 and end at 1900, with every other weekend and every third holiday required.

Floating to other departments may occur as necessary.

All candidates must meet the fingernail policy, where artificial nails are prohibited in patient care areas.

A driver's license is required for all candidates.

An open book exam is administered during orientation, with a minimum passing score of 90% required.

The organization reserves the right to cancel up to four shifts during the 13-week assignment.

Experience with electronic health records is preferred.

Overall, candidates should demonstrate a willingness to assist others and contribute effectively to team dynamics.
