Our client is manufacturer specializing in fabrication and stamping for the automotive industry. They have strong relationships with the top OEM's in the industry and have established quality and engineering teams. They've been growing steadily the past 5 years and have acquired new customers in business to drive revenue and continue to grow talent.

Job Description

• Oversee all quality operations at the site near Joliet
• Prepare and conduct internal IATF 16949 audits
• Delegate duties to junior engineers and technicians
• Work directly with customers to discuss reports and non-conformances
• Lead corrective actions through Root Cause Analysis methods
• Generate documentation and standards for new products
• Work with supply chain team to provide updates to customers on lead times, recommend alternatives

The Successful Applicant

• 2+ years experience in quality
• Background in electronics manufacturing
• Knowledge of IATF 16949 or ISO 9001
• Experience with New Product Development
• Strong communication skills, experience with customers
• Degree in engineering or related field preferred
• Experience leading and mentoring engineers
