Responsibilities Work in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) with 16 beds Patient population includes sepsis, ARDS, renal failure, heart failure, pre-VAD workups, alcohol withdrawal, overdose, multi-organ failure, post cardiac arrest, targeted temperature management, respiratory failure / shock, and various critical interventions Specialized procedures and devices used : CRRT, EKOS, IABP, ECMO, and Impella Nurse-to-patient ratio typically 1 : 2, with occasional 1 : 1 based on acuity Night shift schedule of 3x12 hours (1900-0730) with every other weekend required Holiday coverage is required Must be able to float to other units as needed Epic EMR experience is required Responsibilities include caring for critically ill cardiovascular patients using advanced life-support equipment Pre-assignment online modules must be completed, with up to 5 hours billable Floating to other units may be required depending on staffing needs Must be available to cover holidays as scheduled Not open to candidates who have worked at the facility in the past 12 months Requirements Current NY RN license in hand is required Minimum of 1 year recent CVICU or similar critical care experience Epic charting experience is required Candidates must live more than 75 miles from the facility First-time travelers are accepted Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-619003.
