Overview :
Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior Windows System Administrator to take ownership of maintaining, optimizing, and securing their Microsoft-based infrastructure. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring high system availability, supporting enterprise applications, and leading initiatives to enhance performance, scalability, and automation across the IT environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage, monitor, and maintain Windows Server environments (2016 / 2019 / 2022) and Active Directory infrastructure.
- Administer and support Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and other core Windows services.
- Oversee patch management, system upgrades, and performance tuning to ensure optimal uptime and security.
- Manage virtualization environments (VMware or Hyper-V) and perform regular capacity planning and optimization.
- Implement and support backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
- Partner with Security teams to maintain compliance and implement security best practices across all systems.
- Develop automation scripts and tools using PowerShell or similar scripting languages to streamline administrative tasks.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and escalation support for complex system and application issues.
- Document infrastructure configurations, procedures, and operational standards.
- Mentor junior system administrators and contribute to process improvements and technology roadmaps.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).7+ years of experience in Windows system administration in an enterprise environment.Strong expertise with Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365 administration.Experience managing virtualization platforms (VMware vSphere or Microsoft Hyper-V).Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and task automation.Knowledge of cloud environments (Azure or AWS) and hybrid integrations is preferred.Familiarity with security frameworks, patching tools, and monitoring systems (e.g., SCCM, SolarWinds, or equivalent).Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
