Overview

Join a growing field services team in Charlotte as an Associate Principal specializing in Construction Materials Testing (CMT). You'll lead and oversee projects from proposals through final report review, ensuring quality, technical precision, and timely delivery. This role also involves client consulting and close collaboration with colleagues and leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple CMT projects : review reports, prepare proposals, and support departmental P&L
  • Mentor and train CMT staff and junior project managers
  • Lead project meetings with clients and resolve technical issues
  • Build and strengthen client relationships while actively marketing services
  • Partner with internal teams on staffing and recruiting

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (CMT experience required)
  • At least 8 years of relevant experience, with demonstrated review and approval of technical reports
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required
  • Senior reviewer designation at current or previous employer
  • Valid driver's license and insurance
  • Strong client-facing, leadership, and communication skills
  • Deep understanding of CMT principles and ASTM testing protocols
  • Proven decision-making ability and technical leadership
