About the History Department :

The history department at The College of New Jersey is an active community of teacher-scholars who share a passion for undergraduate education. More than half of our majors are preparing for  careers in teaching, and other recent graduates have been admitted to top law schools and graduate schools including Harvard, Columbia, UPenn, Rutgers, Brandeis, Vanderbilt, and Villanova. The department has strengths in World History with specialists in Africa, Europe, South Asia, Russia and Central Asia, the Ancient Mediterranean, and the United States. The department members are active scholars whose monographs and articles have been published by Cambridge, Cornell, Oxford, Ohio University Press, and leading journals in our respective fields. We share a commitment to collegiality, diversity, equity, and inclusion, and promote a healthy work-life balance.

Position Overview :

The College of New Jersey seeks applicants for a tenure-track Assistant Professorship in East Asian or Middle Eastern history.
