The Diagnostic Imaging Professional performs diagnostic imaging procedures to aid physicians in diagnosing illnesses, diseases, or injuries. This involves positioning radiographic equipment or x-ray film to produce images with necessary detail or contrast to assist with diagnosis and treatment.

Responsibilities :
- Interact with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with professional values.
- Position radiographic equipment or x-ray film to produce images with necessary detail or contrast to assist with diagnosis and treatment.
- Explain the radiographic procedure to the patient, obtain a complete and accurate history relevant to the examination to be performed.
- Communicate effectively with the patient.
- Provide staff and patient protection in accordance with prescribed radiation safety standards.
- Implement and monitor local, state, and national regulations, standards, requirements, and clinical protocols for radiologic imaging services.
- Maintain x-ray equipment by performing scheduled cleaning / tests and document results.
- Maintain and update patient and study information to ensure billing and RIS / PACS accuracy; handle patient records while maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Perform other related technologist duties as directed by the lead technologist, supervisor, or manager.
- Responsible for maintaining continuing education required for licenses and job positions.

Requirements : ">
Graduate of an approved American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) program or current validated Registry from ARRT in Radiology Technology (R). ARRT (R), (CT) Preferred.CPR Certification is required.
