An opportunity is available for a full-time Special Education Teacher specializing in Early Childhood education, dedicated to supporting young learners in a structured school environment. The position is based in Kansas City, KS, with a priority placement at an Early Childhood Center focused on Pre-K aged children.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the unique needs of each student.
- Managing a caseload typically ranging from 8 to 18 early childhood learners.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful educational outcomes.
- Monitoring and documenting student progress and adjusting instructional strategies as needed.
- Creating an inclusive, supportive classroom environment that fosters growth and development.
Qualifications and desired experience:
- Certification or licensure in Special Education.
- Experience working with Early Childhood Special Education students (Pre-K age group).
- Strong understanding of developmental milestones and special education best practices.
