About The Position

Experience : Minimum 2 years

License : NC or Compact license required at time of start

Certifications : BLS, CPI preferred

Must-Have :

• Epic experience required
• Ability to manage insulin and heparin drips
• Charge role experience preferred

Description :

RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite.

Any call-offs or additional RTO on the unit could possibly turn into a cancel and DNR.

Must be able to work holidays and may take care of COVID patients.

Traveler will be assigned to an inclement weather team.

Traveler experience accepted, including first-time travelers.

Locals accepted with a rate difference.

Target patient ratios of 1 : 6-7.

48 hours accepted; no OT billed until after 48 hours.

Charge role is required for night travelers.

Floating to similar units and alternate care locations may occur.

Weekend coverage required; traveler will be assigned every other weekend.

Contract staff may be required to report during catastrophic events, mass casualties, or disasters.

Daily census of approximately 43 patients, primarily adults and geriatrics.

General med / surg patients with procedures including insulin drips, heparin drips, and wound vac dressing changes.

High flow oxygen and limited short-term BiPap with respiratory support provided.

No additional training is needed as all med / surg nurses will find this appropriate.

No PCU level patients are assigned to this unit.

Interdisciplinary support from various teams is available.

Candidate must be comfortable floating without restrictions or special requests.

Traveler requirements include working 2 out of 3 major holidays.
