The Phlebotomist Patient Services Representative (PSR II) is the face of our diagnostics partner, delivering compassionate and efficient service to patients at collection sites. This role involves collecting high-quality blood samples , preparing specimens for laboratory testing, and maintaining compliance with all health, safety, and confidentiality protocols. PSRs are expected to exhibit leadership behaviors and operational excellence in a fast-paced clinical environment .
Key Responsibilities
Collect and prepare clinical and forensic blood samples accurately and safelyExplain collection procedures clearly and professionally to patientsEnsure all specimens are correctly labeled in the patient's presenceMaintain patient records and documentationUphold a clean, professional, and safe collection environmentFlexibly cover multiple collection sites as needed, including on-call shifts and weekendsUse strong communication skills to support patients and team collaborationEnsure all processes align with company policies and local regulationsRequired Experience
Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collectionsHigh school diploma or equivalentValid driver's license and clean driving record (if travel required)Strong data entry and typing skillsNice-to-Have Experience
2+ years in a Patient Service CenterExperience in a retail or customer service settingFamiliarity with in-office phlebotomy and multi-site coverageRequired Skills
Excellent phlebotomy skills with all age groupsDetail-oriented and capable of managing high-volume prioritiesAbility to work independently and follow established proceduresCommitted to health & safety standards and patient confidentialityPreferred Skills
Medical Assistant or Paramedic trainingNational or state Phlebotomy Certification (Required in CA, NV, WA; preferred in MO)Additional Skills
