SUMMARY OF POSITION :
Drive the truck to pick up donations and transport inventory between store locations. Operate forklift to manage inventory in the stores. Fulfill bailing duties and assist with production duties when assigned.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
Key Result Area #1 DRIVING, LOADING, UNLOADING DONATIONS
- Drive truck safely always aware of surroundings and observing traffic regulations
- Complete daily pickup schedule arranged by Donation Coordinator
- Implement donation guidelines graciously turning down unacceptable items
- Load and unload items in a safe, efficient manner that protects donations from damage in transit
- Finish each donation pick-up by completing the submission on Resupply App before leaving Donors residence.
- Maintain good communication with Director of In Kind, Donation Coordinator and Store manager
- Assure vehicles are clean, in good condition, fluids and tires checked, before driving

Assist donors, making immediate assessment of donations and unloading acceptable itemsImplement donation guidelines graciously turning down unacceptable itemsPrepare a receipt for donors who desire one and distribute newsletter or other advertisementSeparate donated items into designated categories, with another inspection for acceptabilityKey Result Area #3 : WAREHOUSING
Fulfill bailing duties observing safety guidelines and performing routine daily maintenanceOperate forklift to manage inventory observing safety guidelines and performing daily maintenanceSort and prepare items for recycling i.e. cardboard, copper, aluminum, steel, tin and brassAssist with production duties when assignedPerform outside cleaning duties i.e. pickup / empty trash, snow removal, de-icing, sweeping, etc.SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS :
5-7 years clean driving record.Excellent communication skills including written, oral, and instructional.Prove to be teachable : organized with the ability to manage multiple projects / tasks at once; able to listen and follow instructions.Able to work on your feet for 8 hours a day seven days a weekAble to lift 50 lbs.WORKING CONDITIONS / PHYSICAL FACTORS :
Occasionally = 1%-33%; Frequently = 34%-66%; Continuously = 67%-100%
Work indoors and outdoors. It requires climbing stairs, sitting, standing, bending, and reaching - Continuously.Requires a sustained level of high energy, stamina, and the ability to move about the store, customer homes and businesses on a regular and ongoing basis - Continuously.Requires the ability to hear, see, and speak clearly - continuously.EQUIPMENT / TOOLS USED :
Variety of tools used in the pricing and production process, i.e. pricing guns, steamers, z-racks, clothing racks and displays, forklift, carts, etc.EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE :
