Company Overview

Apple Intelligence and Google Gemini are about to onboard 4 billion people to voice assistants that actually talk like people. This marks a new beginning for voice as the worlds default interface. We will all want voice everywhere . Businesses are not ready. Products are not ready.

We launched in March, scaled revenue, and raised a Series A from a top-tier firm this past week. Were a small team of 6 and growing. We're building out the founding team in-person in SF to scale whats working.

Mission

The Senior Product Engineer will own the design and implementation of our entire frontend Dashboard platform. Youll also be a foundational part of how we build the culture at Vapi.

Outcomes

  • Design and ship frontend features

Ship a pre-scoped feature within the first 7 days

  • Ship a feature independently within the first 30 days
  • Collaborate with growth engineering to ship set of experiments within the first 45 days
  • Make the frontend codebase more robust, composable, and maintainable

    • Ship a pre-scoped improvement or refactor within the first 14 days

  • Ship an improvement independently within the first 30 days
  • Listen to user feedback and ship improvements

    • Receive a request from Support team and ship the fix within the first 14 days

  • Pick up customer threads unprompted, investigate and solve within the first 14 days
  • Build things that delight customers

    • Unprompted, delight a customer within the first 30 days (ex. Confetti on first call)

  • Experience with React + Typescript frontend stack
  • Communication : You can clearly articulate what youre thinking and feeling
  • Cracked-ness : Youre more cracked than the most cracked person on the team

    • Qualifications

  • Previous Founding / Senior / Staff / Principal Engineer
  • 1+ years of experience at company
  • 5+ years experience in Full-Stack / Frontend Software Engineering
  • 2+ years experience in designing features youve deployed
