A company is looking for a State Politics Reporter.

Key Responsibilities

Track the state Legislature and follow policy and oversight from the state Capitol

Compile the daily Albany Agenda newsletter with the state team

Pitch, report, and write original coverage and analysis of state lawmaking

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in journalism or a related field

At least two years of reporting experience preferred

Demonstrated ability to pitch, report, and write stories on deadline

Strong understanding and interest in state politics and policymaking

Clear awareness of existing state Capitol coverage
