Crane Operator

Operates crane in a safe manner according to safety guidelines and regulations.

Conducts daily crane maintenance inspection each day at the start of the shift.

Retrieves material from storage to load onto processing equipment, trucks, or rail cars.

Unloads inbound material from trucks and rail cars.

Moves heavy materials for warehouseman and parts cleaners.

Physical requirements :

Stand or sit (stationary position), walk (move, traverse), use hand / fingers to handle or feel (operate, activate, use, prepare, inspect, place, detect, position), climb (stairs / ladders) or balance (ascend / descend, work atop, traverse), stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl (position self(to), move), talk / hear (communicate, detect, converse with, discern, convey, express oneself, exchange information), see (detect, determine, perceive, identify, recognize, judge, observe, inspect, estimate, assess), pushing or pulling, reaching, repetitive motion.

Function in the job :

Medium / heavy work - exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and / or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and / or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Job function :

Maintains housekeeping.

Monitors work area.

Demonstrates ability and accepts responsibility to perform other duties assigned by the foreman as necessary to complete the shift.

Required skills : 80% sitting in crane

5% standing in crane

5% climbing approximately 35-40 steps up to and down from crane
